SoCo is a private space where students, organizers, professors, neighbors, companies, nonprofits, and politicians can share resources and show up for the causes they care about.
Structure
Two organizations, one shared space.
The mission rents space back from the operation.
Solidarity Collective
Carries the mission — raising donations to rent space back from the operation so grassroots groups can use it at reduced or no cost.
What we stand for
Values with teeth.
- No member group may work with defense companies or hold defense contracts.
- Members are asked to avoid vendors boycotted by the causes represented in the space.
Where we're headed
Building toward nonprofit footing.
Both organizations are transitioning to nonprofit status with independent boards. The lease was signed July 8th, with a target buildout completion within seven months.
